The territory of the State historical and cultural reserve “Keshikchidag” of the Agstafa region, established on March 9, 2016 according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was one of the largest military training ranges of the USSR in the Caucasus during the Soviet period. On the territory of the reserve there are unexploded ordnance. In order to ensure the safety of residents and other citizens, the National Agency for Mine Clearance of the Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) began to clean unexploded ordnance in the Agstafa region. After conducting reconnaissance work in this territory before the cleaning of ammunition for the purpose of preserving historical monuments, burial mounds, the staff of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve “Keshikchidag” informed the staff of the National Agency for Mine Clearance of the Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA).
