The temple, which is an architectural monument of national importance of the V-VIII centuries, was built for the purpose of religious worship in the territory of Yukhari Askipara village of Gazakh region. Built in the style of Albanian architecture, the temple is in good condition. It is located on a high hill on the left bank of the Coghaz River. The style is reminiscent of Albanian buildings in the Gabala and Gakh regions. It is 18 meters high and consists of a large hexagonal building in the middle and three small gates connected to it. At the top of the doors there is an Albanian cross, and on the columns there are decorative elements consisting of floral and zoomorphic (fish) images.
