At the initiative of the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and with the support of the Aghstafa District Executive Power, “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve organized a bike ride dedicated to April 18 International Day of Monuments and Historic Sites.
The purpose of the march was to introduce the historical and architectural monuments located in the reserve, from the Stone Age to the late Middle Ages. The bike ride started from Soyugbulag settlement, from the information board with the name of the reserve, and continued to the information center belonging to the reserve.
Officials of the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, Aghstafa District Executive Power, heads of Aghstafa District departments and organizations, scientists, intellectuals, veterans of the 44-day Patriotic War took part in the march.
In the artistic part of the event, our national dances performed by dancers in national costumes and the skills of young athletes in karate were demonstrated.
The participants of the march were treated to a samovar tea with thyme and goy gutabi, one of the delicacies of our national cuisine, and during the tea break, saz music was performed by ashugs.
