On the occasion of April 18 – International Day for Monuments and Sites, an Open Day was organized at the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve, as in all historical and cultural reserves across the country. Within the framework of the Open Day, a group of visitors toured the territory of the reserve.
The participants first familiarized themselves with the archaeological monuments located in the Keshikchidagh Kurgan Valley. Subsequently, they observed the “Peak named after Ilham Aliyev,” the caves located in this direction, the frescoes preserved on the walls and ceilings of these caves, as well as the water wells and food storage units on-site. During the excursion, visitors were provided with detailed information about the reserve’s rich archaeological heritage, the historical developmental stages of the monuments, their use for residential, religious, and economic purposes, as well as the measures taken for their protection and scientific research. It was noted that such initiatives are highly significant for the scientific study, preservation, and transmission of cultural heritage to future generations.
