With the support of the State Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sinan Asılkaralanlı, chemical engineer–restorer of the Regional Laboratory of Restoration and Conservation of Ankara under the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye, and Nermin Baştemur, the laboratory’s coordinator for Azerbaijan, visited the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve. The guests familiarized themselves with the archaeological artifacts displayed in the small museum-type exhibition stand created in the administrative building of the reserve, as well as with the reserve’s printed materials, and received information about the findings reflecting various archaeological periods of the area. Samples from the artifacts obtained from the reserve territory were taken with the aim of determining their material composition, origin, and production technology in laboratory conditions. Through these analyses, it will be possible to accurately date the findings and determine their place within the archaeological context. At the same time, the radiocarbon and isotope studies to be conducted will create broad opportunities for the scientific systematization of the kurgans, settlements, and material-cultural complexes located within the reserve in the future.
