As part of the project “Scientific-Archaeological Excavations and Summer School in Keşikçidağ–5,” jointly organized by the Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture and the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS, a group of tourists from Baku conducted a scientific excursion to the Keşikçidağ State Historical and Cultural Reserve. During the visit, participants toured the “Yovshanly Valley” area, where archaeological excavations are being carried out, and became closely acquainted with the research process.

During the visit, participants toured the “Yovshanly Valley” area, where archaeological excavations are being carried out, and became closely acquainted with the research process. They were provided with detailed information about the study of ancient kurgans and the discovered material-cultural artifacts. Within the framework of the visit, the leading researcher of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS, PhD in History, Associate Professor Shamil Najafov, along with reserve staff, answered numerous questions from the visitors and provided comprehensive information about the scientific materials obtained during the excavations, their historical significance, and the archaeological potential of the region.
