Today marks 17 years since the establishment of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical-Cultural Reserve. The declaration of a part of the Keshikchidagh caves complex, located in the western region of Azerbaijan, as a reserve by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, by his decree No. 2563 dated December 19, 2007, is a clear example of the value placed on our cultural heritage. Since the establishment of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical-Cultural Reserve, work has been carried out to study and promote the multi-period monuments located here, multidisciplinary scientific research and archaeological excavations are being conducted in the area, and local and international events are being participated in. We will continue to work diligently to protect, promote, and pass on to future generations the Keshikchidagh caves complex, a historical site that connects our past and future with every stone, and that amazes everyone with its purposefulness
