103 years have passed since the March 31 genocide committed by the Armenian Dashnaks together with the Bolsheviks against the Azerbaijanis.

According to official sources, as a result of the genocide, about 12,000 Azerbaijanis were killed and tens of thousands were missing.

During the March massacres, Armenians destroyed many ancient buildings, historical monuments, including shrines, and the Ismailiyye building, considered one of the pearls of world architecture. As a result of the fire opened by the navy in the Caspian Sea, the minarets of Juma and Tazapir mosques were severely damaged.

According to the decree of national leader Heydar Aliyev “On the genocide of Azerbaijanis” dated March 26, 1998, March 31 is marked as the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis.

Today, an online seminar dedicated to the March 31 genocide was held at the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve, and employees of the reserve, shared their views.
