THE KING OF BERRY – THE ROSE HIP.
The rose hip plant, which grows in the Keshikchidagh caves complex, has been used by people since ancient times as a remedy for many diseases. There are 300 species of rose hip, of which 42 species are found in Azerbaijan, and 36 of them grow wild. Due to its rich composition,rose hips have many benefits for human health. The composition of rose hip is rich in vitamins, minerals, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, etc. Strengthens the immune system, calms the nervous system, lowers blood pressure, prevents inflammatory processes, is useful for cardiovascular diseases, normalizes metabolism. Like other useful plants, rose hip should be used sparingly. The rose hip shrub can grow up to 1.5-2.5 meters in height. It blooms in May-June and turns into a berry in September-October. There are many myths and beliefs about rose hip. It is said that in ancient Greece, the tomb of Aphrodite, the god of love, was decorated with rose hip. Many scientists note that the homeland of the hips is Iran and the Himalayas.
