Members of the Aghstafa State Art Gallery Club Explored Historical Heritage in Keshikchidag.
As part of the project “Cultural Heritage through the Brushes of Young Artists,” students from the “Art Learners” club of the Aghstafa State Art Gallery visited the administrative building of the “Keshikchidag” State Historical and Cultural Reserve, which operates under the management of the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture.
As part of the meeting, the students first explored a small museum-style display showcasing artifacts of material culture discovered through scientific research and archaeological excavations conducted at the burial mounds (kurgans) located in the Keshikchidag Kurgan Valley. The reserve staff provided them with detailed information regarding the historical significance of the archaeological finds, their role in studying ancient material culture, and the importance of preserving historical heritage.
Subsequently, during a round-table discussion, the students viewed photos and video materials detailing the historical and cultural monuments situated within the reserve, as well as the cultural artifacts uncovered during archaeological excavations. The main objective of the event is to boost the younger generation’s interest in historical and cultural heritage, strengthen their respect for national and moral values, and expand the knowledge of art-enthusiast students regarding our ancient history and archaeological heritage.
