During the archaeological excavations carried out in the Sariyokhus barrows within the framework of the project, along with rich examples of material culture, numerous fragmented pottery samples are also being discovered. Restoration and conservation work on these ceramic fragments is carried out by the reserve employee, Fazila Huseynova. The main purpose of the restoration process is to preserve the samples and, where possible, restore their original form. The restoration and conservation of ceramic samples are of great importance in terms of preserving the historical and scientific significance of archaeological finds. Samples with completed restoration work are included in the reserve’s fund, protected, and preserved for future scientific research.
