On the occasion of September 20 — “Day of Sovereignty,” a round table was organized at the administrative building of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve, which operates under the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture.
During the round table, an exchange of views took place regarding the profound significance of September 20 — Day of Sovereignty in the history of Azerbaijani statehood, the preservation of national statehood traditions, and the measures implemented to ensure state sovereignty.
The historical services of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in strengthening Azerbaijani statehood and developing the ideas of national unity and statehood were emphasized. It was noted that the statehood policy defined by the Great Leader has been successfully continued under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, and the full restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty marked an important milestone in the modern history of our country.
During the round table, it was highlighted that alongside strengthening sovereignty, preserving the national-cultural heritage, keeping historical memory alive, and passing it on to future generations are also crucial directions of an independent statehood.
