An online seminar titled “Independent and Sovereign Azerbaijan”, dedicated to the declaration of 2025 as the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty”, was held with the organization of the “Keshlikdag” State Historical and Cultural Reserve and with the participation of Yaqub Mammadov, leading researcher of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS and PhD in History. Employees of the reserves operating under the State Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture took part in the event. During the seminar, in his presentation, Yaqub Mammadov extensively discussed the results of archaeological research conducted in the liberated territories. He particularly emphasized that the new scientific findings obtained during excavations in the world-renowned Azykh and Taghlar caves play a significant role in studying the history of ancient human settlement in the region. It was noted that the material-cultural artifacts discovered in these areas further enrich Azerbaijan’s research base on the Paleolithic period.
