On July 4, 2025, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve was held with the participation of leading researchers from the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan – PhD holders in history Shamil Najafov and Vagif Asadov, as well as the Institute’s research associate and restorer-artist Farhad Farmanov.

On July 4, 2025, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve was held with the participation of leading researchers from the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan – PhD holders in history Shamil Najafov and Vagif Asadov, as well as the Institute’s research associate and restorer-artist Farhad Farmanov. The meeting was chaired by Associate Professor Shamil Najafov, who provided a comprehensive overview of the progress and outcomes of the project titled “Scientific Archaeological Excavations and Summer School – 5” at Keshikchidagh. He noted that the archaeological investigations conducted within the framework of the project are of great importance for the study of the ancient history of the region. Following this, Associate Professor Vagif Asadov addressed the recent scientific research and archaeological excavations carried out in the reserve with the participation of both local and foreign experts. He emphasized the contributions of these activities to the field of archaeology.
Within the framework of the meeting, a broad exchange of views was held regarding the future directions of activity of the Scientific Council of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve, particularly concerning the organization of scientific seminars related to archaeological excavations.
