Since the day the reserve was created, scientific research and archaeological excavations have been carried out in the area in recent years, and rich material and cultural samples have been obtained. In July-August of the current year, with the joint organization of the State Service of Cultural Heritage Conservation, Development and Rehabilitation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Institute of Archeology and Anthropology of ANAS, an archaeological excavation was carried out in the Sarisoy mounds located in the Jandargol and Keshikchidagh Mound Valleys, 950 m south of Jandar Lake, including scientific research works have been carried out. The first phase of research in the area has already been completed. Artifacts obtained as a result of archaeological excavations are included in the fund according to clauses 2.1.8 and 2.1.9 of the decision No. 220 dated September 19, 2008 of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Based on the opinion of archaeologists, the handover and internal act of these material-cultural samples are drawn up and measured. At the end, the artifacts are photographed and passported.
