Staff of the “Avey” State Historical and Cultural Reserve Visited the Project “Scientific and Archaeological Excavations in Keshikchidag and Summer School 6”
As part of the project “Scientific and Archaeological Excavations in Keshikchidag and Summer School 6,” implemented in partnership with the ANAS Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology in the Keshikchidag Kurgan Valley—located on the territory of the “Keshikchidag” State Historical and Cultural Reserve under the administration of the State Service for Preservation, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture—the next group of guests was welcomed.
The guests of the project on this occasion were the staff of the “Avey” State Historical and Cultural Reserve.
During the visit, the reserve employees closely familiarized themselves with the archaeological research process being conducted in the Keshikchidag Kurgan Valley and examined samples of material culture discovered during archaeological excavations carried out under the leadership of Vagif Asadov, leading researcher at the ANAS Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology and PhD in History.
During the visit, Vagif Asadov conducted a masterclass for the guests on the methodology of archaeological research, the excavation process, and the scientific significance of the discovered archaeological materials.
Beyond its importance for mutual scientific and practical exchange, the meeting contributed to the development of inter-reserve cooperation aimed at studying, preserving, and promoting Azerbaijan’s rich archaeological, historical, and cultural heritage.
