20 september Today an event within the framework of the “European Heritage Days”, which is held in the reserves under the jurisdiction of the State Service for the Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture was held at the “Keshikchidag” State Historical and Cultural Reserve with the support of Aghstafa district Executive Power. At the event talked about to the participants legend in the name of “Nun girl and shepherd” written by Samad Vurghun-the great poet of Azerbaijan in connection with Keshikchidag, on rocky cliffs musical numbers were played by musical instruments and various dances by national dancers, horse racing was organized in the area, gutab – one of delicious dishes of our national cuisine and samovar tea was prepared and presented to the participants. In addition, a pavilion was settled with material and cultural samples found in the reserve, booklets and brochures were distributed to the participants. The main purpose of the project is to provide local and foreign visitors access to cultural heritage sites with free, to attract public attention to the issues of preserving historical and cultural monuments, and to promote national cultural heritage.
