The Archaeological and Historical-Cultural Heritage of the Turkic World Discussed at an International Online Seminar
On August 27, 2026, an international online seminar titled “Common Heritage, Common Future: Preservation, Research, and Promotion of Archaeological and Historical-Cultural Heritage in the Turkic World” was held. The event brought together representatives of relevant state institutions, scientific bodies, and museum-reserves from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, as well as staff from reserves managed by the State Service for Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, scientists from the ANAS Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology, scholars and master’s students from Baku State University, and faculty and students from Khazar University. Hosted on the Zoom platform, the seminar aimed to exchange experiences in preserving, researching, and promoting the rich archaeological and historical heritage of the Turkic world through modern approaches. The seminar was moderated by Yunis Nasibli, Senior Researcher at the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve and Associate Professor at BSU. The event proceeded in two main sessions featuring presentations by experts from partner countries.
Session I:

The international seminar served as an important platform for strengthening institutional cooperation between Turkic states in archaeology, museology, and cultural heritage protection, as well as for promoting common historical and cultural heritage more broadly on the international stage.
