The Friendship Garden

The Friendship Garden
At the “Ilham Aliyev Peak,” located within the territory of the reserve, more than 2,000 trees have been planted, establishing a large, meaningful, and symbolic “Friendship Garden.” This garden not only enhances the natural beauty of the area but also symbolizes the ideas of unity, friendship, and the preservation of ecological balance. Special attention is devoted to the almond grove by our staff: the trees are regularly watered, their trunks are whitewashed with lime, carefully pruned, and provided with individualized care.
The garden’s area has been organized in a systematic manner, with walking paths, small recreational corners, and scenic sites created so that visitors may both rest and enjoy the calming influence of nature. Soil fertility is continuously maintained, appropriate measures are taken to ensure environmental cleanliness, and specialized methods of care are applied for the healthy development of the trees. The “Friendship Garden” symbolizes the harmony of ecology and aesthetic beauty within the reserve. The trees planted here—particularly the almond trees—not only bloom in spring, adding visual richness to the reserve, but also preserve a green cover during the winter months, thereby contributing to the protection of the ecosystem. Furthermore, this garden serves the purpose of instilling a love for nature in future generations and emphasizing the importance of environmental preservation.
