The #Jandargol mounds were discovered during archaeological excavations conducted in the reserve in the summer of 2024, jointly organized by the State Service for the Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural #Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the #Azerbaijan Republic and the #Institute of Archaeology and #Anthropology of the #ANAS.

The #Jandargol mounds were discovered during archaeological excavations conducted in the reserve in the summer of 2024, jointly organized by the State Service for the Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural #Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the #Azerbaijan Republic and the #Institute of Archaeology and #Anthropology of the #ANAS. As a result of archaeological excavations conducted by Bakhtiyar Jalilov, head of the department of the Institute of Archaeology and #Anthropology of the #ANAS, PhD in history, associate professor, at the #Jandargol mounds, located 950m south of Lake #Jandar, rich material and cultural samples were obtained.
