On October 08, 2026, students from the “Young Regional Ethnographer” club of the Aghstafa District Children and Youth Development Center visited the administrative building of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve, which operates under the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture.
Within the framework of the meeting, the students first got acquainted with a small museum-type exhibition stand displaying samples of material culture discovered during scientific-archaeological excavations carried out in the Keshikchidagh Valley of Mounds located in the reserve area. Subsequently, a round table was held with the participation of the students, during which video materials were screened about the historical and cultural monuments located on the territory of the reserve, as well as the project titled “Scientific-Archaeological Research and Summer School in Keshikchidagh” implemented in the Keshikchidagh Valley of Mounds. The reserve staff provided detailed information to the students regarding the archaeological and cultural heritage of Keshikchidagh, the importance of the ongoing research, and the role of the younger generation in studying and preserving the national-cultural heritage. The event was significant in terms of increasing youth interest in history and archaeology, promoting local cultural heritage, and enriching their knowledge.
