The second day of the scientific and practical training on “Digital Architectural Visualizations and Documentation Methods”—jointly organized by the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture and the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS, under the leadership of experts invited from the Republic of Türkiye—has successfully concluded.
In the first half of the day, the training continued at the Yovshanlidara and Sariyokhush mounds located within the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve. Participants became closely acquainted with the application of digital documentation methods on archaeological monuments and observed the stages of field data collection and processing.
During the subsequent practical sessions, participants were taught hands-on processing of data obtained via LiDAR and photogrammetry using specialized software, forming point clouds, building 3D models, refining models, and preparing final digital documentation materials. Detailed information was also presented regarding the application of the created digital models in scientific research, as well as in the documentation and protection of cultural heritage.
