On June 11, 2026, an online scientific seminar titled “June 15 is the Rescue History of Azerbaijan” was held. The event was organized by the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve, which operates under the State Service for of Conservation, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture. The seminar featured Dr. Parviz Gasimov, PhD in History and Deputy Director for Digital Development and Artificial Intelligence at the AMEA Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology. Attended by employees of other reserves managed by the State Service, the seminar analyzed the exceptional place and significance of the National Salvation Day in the history of Azerbaijani statehood from a scientific and practical perspective. Detailed discussions focused on the role of this historic event in preserving the country’s independence, ensuring socio-political stability, and advancing state-building processes. It was emphasized that the events of June 1993 served as a crucial turning point in shaping the future development trajectory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, establishing a reliable foundation for strengthening statehood traditions rooted in the will of the people. In his speech, Dr. Parviz Gasimov highlighted the importance of evaluating National Salvation Day not merely as a political event, but as a triumph of national solidarity, statehood mindset, and independence ideals. He noted that the political stability, economic progress, and rising international prestige that form the basis of Azerbaijan’s modern development phase are closely linked to the strategic decisions adopted during that period. Within the framework of the event, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of scientific and educational activities aimed at studying key stages of national history, preserving historical memory, and passing it on to future generations. The primary objective of the seminar was to promote the historical and political significance of National Salvation Day—a major turning point in the destiny of the Azerbaijani people—within the scientific community. It also aimed to preserve and develop statehood traditions, foster national and moral values among the younger generation, strengthen patriotism, and contribute to the promotion of historical heritage.
