Another scientific achievement in the study of Azerbaijan’s rich historical and cultural heritage has been presented to the international academic community. The results of archaeological research conducted in the territory of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve have been published in one of the world’s prestigious academic journals — Science, Education and Innovations in the Context of Modern Problems (SEI). The article, entitled “Archaeological Summer Schools as a Pedagogical Platform: Practical Integration of Field Research, Heritage Education, and Cultural Identity Formation in Modern Azerbaijan”, was co-authored by Musa Mursagulyev, Director of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve; Associate Professor Shamil Najafov, PhD in History and leading researcher at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS); and Saadat Aliyeva, PhD in Pedagogy and Director of the “Avey” State Historical and Cultural Reserve.
The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the scientific results of archaeological excavations conducted in the Keshikchidagh Kurgans Valley and highlights their cultural and historical significance. This publication is regarded as an important contribution to the international recognition of Azerbaijan’s ancient tangible cultural heritage, the integration of archaeological fieldwork with educational and pedagogical dimensions, and the preservation and development of national cultural identity.
