The “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve continues its efforts to strengthen international cooperation in a consistent manner.
To this end, on September 25, 2025, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Director of the Reserve, Mr. Musa Mursaguliev, and Mr. Nurlan Musagaliyevich Dukenbayev, Head of the “Hazret Sultan” National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The signing ceremony, held in an online format, was opened by Dr. Parviz Gasimov, PhD in History and archaeologist from the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, who has conducted long-term research in the reserve area.
The signing of this memorandum stands as a vivid testament to the fact that Turkic nations share common historical roots, deep connections, and a rich cultural heritage. The parties intend to implement joint projects in the future, promote mutual scientific and cultural relations, and carry out collaborative research initiatives.
This partnership not only contributes to strengthening cultural and scientific ties between the two institutions, but also plays an essential role in the preservation, promotion, and transmission of the shared cultural heritage of the Turkic world to future generations. Moreover, it marks a new stage in the scientific and cultural integration among Turkic states.
The memorandum holds particular significance in terms of the protection, study, and international promotion of historical and cultural heritage.
Within the framework of future cooperation with the “Hazret Sultan” Reserve, the parties plan to conduct joint archaeological excavations and research. These activities will not only serve to uncover tangible cultural heritage but also contribute to forming a shared archaeological landscape of the regions.
In addition, the two reserves plan to organize joint exhibitions in various countries, allowing the results of their work to reach wider audiences and attract the attention of the international scientific community. The holding of mutual online seminars and conferences will accelerate knowledge and experience exchange among specialists and support the application of modern scientific methodologies.
Furthermore, the parties are planning to organize archaeological excavations and a summer school on the territory of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve. This initiative will significantly support the training of young researchers and promote international scientific integration.
The coverage of the obtained scientific outcomes in the Kazakh media is seen as an important step in raising public awareness and recognition of the joint efforts in the field of cultural heritage. This process will also contribute to strengthening cultural ties between the two countries.
The experience gained through this collaboration is expected to pave the way for the involvement of other Turkic states in the process in the future.
Thus, the signed memorandum is not merely a bilateral cooperation document, but a strategic contribution to the formation of a common scientific and cultural space of the Turkic world.
