The Scientific Council of the reserve was established by the relevant order of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to carry out scientific research in the territory of the reserve more systematically.

In recent times, multidisciplinary research – scientific-archaeological excavations, architectural monuments, religious monuments, examples of decorative arts and other monuments are carried out by local and foreign specialists in the territory of the “Keshikchidagh” State historical and cultural reserve. As a result, articles of the reserve are published in foreign countries. The Scientific Council of the reserve was established by the relevant order of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan in order to carry out scientific research in the territory of the reserve more systematically.
The first meeting of the Scientific Council was held on 21.08.2023, Yunis Nasibli, a member of the Scientific Council, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor of BSU, senior researcher of the reserve, joined online.
Imash Hajiyev, professor of the Gazakh branch of BSU, doctor of science in art studies, Saadat Aliyeva, director of “Avey” State historical and cultural reserve, doctor of philosophy in pedagogy and other members of the Scientific Council gathered around the round table.
Initially, 4 issues were discussed by the Scientific Council.
1. Printing, design and other issues of the photo album belonging to the reserve;
2. Issues arising from the implementation of the project “Scientific-archaeological excavations in Keshikchidagh and Summer school-3”, selection of the area where excavations will be carried out, transportation of volunteers, set goals;
3. Issuance of the magazine “Keshikchidagh” State historical and cultural reserve, whose founder is the State Service of Cultural Heritage Conservation, Development and Rehabilitation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
4. Holding an international scientific-practical seminar on scientific research to be conducted in the region.
It should be noted that the first meeting of the Scientific Council was productive, each of the issues was discussed separately and final decisions were made.
