An event entitled “From the Past to the Future: The Relevance of Khagani’s Heritage” was organized by the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve, under the administration of the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture.
Supported by the Agstafa Youth House Social Service Institution, the main objective of the event was to introduce the rich literary heritage of Khagani Shirvani—a prominent figure of classical Azerbaijani literature, a great thinker, and a poet—to the younger generation, to highlight the significance of his work in our national and cultural heritage, and to increase interest in our history and literature. During the event, an employee of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve delivered a speech discussing Khagani Shirvani’s vital role in the development of Azerbaijani literature and intellectual history, underscoring the importance of the poet’s creative work for studying our historical and cultural heritage. The speech emphasized the necessity of studying, preserving, and passing Khagani’s legacy on to future generations in modern times. An exchange of views took place with the event participants, and various topics related to Khagani Shirvani’s work were discussed.
