On the occasion of April 18 – International Day for Monuments and Sites, scientific and educational tours were organized in the Gazakh and Agstafa regions, as in all parts of our country, aimed at the protection and promotion of cultural heritage. To mark this significant day, a group of visitors from Baku took part in an excursion to the territory of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve. As part of the excursion, the guests closely familiarized themselves with the archaeological monuments located in the Keshikchidagh Valley of Kurgans, the “Peak named after Ilham Aliyev” situated within the reserve, and the caves in that direction. They also observed the frescoes preserved on the walls and ceilings of the caves, as well as the ancient water wells and food storage units existing in the area.
