Within the framework of declaring 2026 as the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture” in Azerbaijan, a tree-planting campaign was held in the “Friendship Garden” located in the territory of the Keşikçidağ State Historical and Cultural Reserve.
The main purpose of the campaign was to increase green areas within the reserve, preserve ecological balance, promote environmental awareness, and contribute to the protection of historical and cultural heritage in harmony with the natural environment.
The tree-planting initiative is of great importance in terms of further enriching the ecological and aesthetic appearance of the reserve area. At the same time, such initiatives serve to promote values such as care for nature, protection of green spaces, and respect for national and cultural heritage within society.
Such activities once again demonstrate that the preservation of historical sites and the enrichment of the ecological environment are mutually complementary and essential factors. As part of the campaign, more than 300 almond saplings were planted.
