The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the “Keşikçidağ” State Historical and Cultural Reserve was held at the reserve’s administrative building. The meeting discussed current trends in archaeological and anthropological research, the results of scientific studies conducted within the reserve area, as well as issues related to the preservation of tangible cultural heritage and its inclusion in academic circulation.
Within the framework of the roundtable discussion, presentations were delivered by Shamil Najafov, PhD in History and leading research fellow at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, senior research fellow and archaeologist Lola Huseynova, research fellow and anthropologist Ulker Allahverdiyeva, as well as independent researcher Faiq Nasibov. The participants shared their views on the scientific significance of the Keşikçidağ archaeological complex, research methodologies, and future research perspectives.
During the meeting, special attention was given to the coordination of scientific projects implemented in the reserve area, strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, and presenting the research findings on international academic platforms as well as disseminating them to the public.
