9 сентября Миндальное дерево растёт в основном в дикой форме, в горных областях. Известно около 40 видов деревьев и кустарников миндаля, из которых 4 вида широко распространены в Азербайджане. Есть два вида миндаля: сладкий и горький. Поскольку территория пещерного комплекса Кешикчидаг гористая, среди растущих здесь растений доминирует горький миндаль. Рельеф, климатические условия и более высокая устойчивость этих деревьев к засухе позволяют выращивать миндальные сады ( подсобные хозяйства ) путём проведения научных исследований и защиты культурного слоя в заповеднике. Оно очень полезно для повышения иммунитета организма и заживления ран. Снижает риск у диабетиков. Регулирует уровень сахара в крови. Положительно влияет на физическую и умственную усталость. Хотя горький миндаль помогает от кашля, переедание может вызвать отравление.
