Landscaping and cleaning works dedicated to September 27 – Memorial Day were carried out in the “Victory Garden” (Zəfər bağı), established within the territory of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve, which operates under the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture.
The main purpose of the event is to honor the cherished memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan during the 44-day Patriotic War led by the Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev, to contribute to keeping their sacred memory alive forever, and at the same time to strengthen the promotion of national-moral values and patriotic ideas among the younger generation.
As part of the event, the trees planted in the “Victory Garden” were watered, cleaning works were carried out in the area, and appropriate agrotechnical care was provided to the greenery. The work done serves to maintain the “Victory Garden” in a well-kept and neat condition, to preserve green areas, and to further improve the ecological and cultural environment of the site. The “Victory Garden” also holds significant importance as a symbolic expression of the historic victory achieved in the Patriotic War, the cherished memory of our martyrs, and the national solidarity of our people. The preservation and improvement of such places are of special importance in terms of transmitting historical memory to future generations.
