On April 13–14, 2026, an international scientific-practical conference titled “Current Issues in Archaeological and Anthropological Research of the Ganja-Gazakh Region” will be held. The conference is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the prominent scientist, Paleolithic specialist, PhD in History, Associate Professor Mansur Mansurov, as well as to April 18 — the International Day for Monuments and Sites. The event continues the long-established scientific traditions formed over many years with the participation of Mansur Mansurov. On the eve of this important event, a preparatory meeting was held in the administrative building of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve. During the meeting, organizational and technical issues necessary for holding the conference at a high level were discussed, and relevant decisions were made. The meeting covered matters such as the reception of participants, welcoming and accommodation of guests, technical equipment of conference halls, media coverage of the event, submission and organization of articles and abstracts, their preparation for publication, as well as the organization of excursions to introduce guests to the historical monuments of the region.
