The excursion was held for the students of the &#8220;Ecology Club&#8221; of the S. The reserve\u2019s staff explained the methods of archaeological excavation, the discovery process, documentation, conservation, and the scientific study of artifacts to the children in a simple and visual manner.<\/p>\n<p>During the symbolic archaeological activity, which was the most exciting part of the event, the children participated in an initial archaeological search on a specially prepared site. They practically observed the discovery of various material cultural artifacts and became closely acquainted with the nature of the archaeologist profession. This hands-on session made a significant contribution to developing the children\u2019s research skills, observational abilities, responsible attitude toward historical heritage, and scientific mindset.<\/p>\n<p>During the excursion, it was emphasized that protecting historical monuments is one of the key responsibilities of both the state and society. It was brought to the attention of the participants that cultural heritage is of invaluable importance not only for scientific research but also for preserving national identity, historical memory, and moral values.
