The event was jointly organized by the &#8220;Keshikchidagh&#8221; State Historical and Cultural Reserve (operating under the management of the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan), the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), and the &#8220;Ancient Taraz&#8221; State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The seminar was moderated by Azad Zeynalov, a leading researcher at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History. The scientific seminar brought together reserve staff, volunteers from Khazar University, archaeologists, historians, university lecturers, doctoral candidates, postgraduate and undergraduate students, as well as specialists working in the fields of museums and cultural heritage. The event was opened by Mahir Gahramanov, Head of the Sector for Reserve Management of the Museum and Reserves Department at the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture, who emphasized the contribution of the event to strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two states. Subsequently, Yerzhan Aksanbayevich, Deputy Director of the &#8220;Ancient Taraz&#8221; Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, and Musa Mursaguliyev, Director of the &#8220;Keshikchidagh&#8221; State Historical and Cultural Reserve, delivered speeches highlighting the significance of the seminar. Parviz Gasimov, Deputy Director for Digital Development and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS and PhD in History, delivered a slide presentation on the results of archaeological excavations and research conducted within the territory of the Keshikchidagh State Historical and Cultural Reserve, demonstrating the discovered artifacts and their scientific value in terms of studying ancient settlements. Following the opening remarks, presentations were delivered by Yunis Nasibli, Associate Professor at Baku State University (BSU) and Candidate of Historical Sciences; Yagub Mammadov, leading researcher at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS and PhD in History; as well as the scientific staff of the &#8220;Ancient Taraz&#8221; Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, including Shalkeeva Zhuldiz Mukhankyzy, Ibadildaeva Madina Mananbaykyzy (historian), Orynbasar Akerke Ergabulkyzy, Karibekova Akdidar Janibekkyzy, Akgul Altynbekova Janbolatkyzy (Executive Department for Museum Work and Excursion Activities), and Muktasimov Ali Salimovich. The primary objective of the seminar was to expand scientific cooperation towards the study and promotion of the shared historical and cultural heritage existing between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, to encourage research in the field of cultural heritage, to support the involvement of youth in academic and social activities, and to foster the exchange of experience between the cultural heritage institutions of the two fraternal nations. Within the framework of the event, the outcomes of the &#8220;Scientific Archaeological Excavations in Keshikchidagh and Summer School&#8221; projects, implemented consistently over the past five years, were extensively presented. It was noted that these projects are of paramount importance not only for conducting archaeological research but also for enhancing the practical knowledge and skills of young researchers, expanding public participation in cultural heritage preservation, and consolidating international scientific cooperation.  The seminar featured comprehensive discussions on the scientific results of the archaeological research conducted in the Keshikchidagh area, the historical significance of the unearthed material cultural artifacts, the efforts directed toward integrating them into academic discourse, and the issues surrounding the preservation and transmission of archaeological heritage to future generations. It was emphasized that the Keshikchidagh complex possesses significant scientific potential for studying the ancient history of the Caucasus and stands as a unique heritage site reflecting the cultural diversity and historical developmental stages of the region. During the event, detailed information was provided regarding the operational scope, academic curriculum, participant responsibilities, and expected outcomes of the upcoming project &#8220;Scientific Archaeological Excavations in Keshikchidagh and Summer School VI,&#8221; scheduled for the summer months of 2026. It was stated that the research to be conducted within this project will contribute to a deeper understanding of the ancient settlement and cultural history of the region, the acquisition of new scientific data, and the further expansion of international academic collaboration. The seminar participants underscored the vital necessity of enhancing the role of youth in the protection and study of cultural heritage, noting the importance of international summer schools and scientific-practical programs in this regard. Furthermore, an exchange of views took place regarding the future prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijani and Kazakh scholars in the field of researching their common historical heritage. At the conclusion of the event, inquiries from the participants were addressed, and the importance of continuing joint projects aimed at protecting cultural heritage, developing scientific research, and ensuring the active engagement of youth in this field was emphasized. Additionally, international certificates were presented to the speakers and participating students by both reserves.
