On the occasion of June 15 \u2013 “National Salvation Day”, a district-wide event titled \u201cNational Architectural Traditions and Modern Urban Planning: Sustainability and Development\u201d was held, organized by the Aghstafa District Executive Power.
\nThe main objective of the event was to preserve the rich architectural heritage of the Azerbaijani people, discuss the possibilities of applying national architectural traditions to modern urban planning processes, and scientifically and practically evaluate the importance of sustainable development principles in the fields of architecture and urban planning. Ismayil Omarli, an employee of the “Keshikchidagh” State Historical and Cultural Reserve\u2014which is managed by the State Service for Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture\u2014delivered a speech at the event. The report extensively analyzed the role of Azerbaijan’s historically shaped architectural traditions in preserving national and cultural identity, the protection of historical and cultural heritage sites, and current issues regarding their integration into modern urban planning concepts. During the presentation, it was emphasized that preserving national architectural heritage is not only about keeping the material and cultural values of the past alive, but also an essential condition for shaping a sustainable and healthy living environment for future generations. Within the framework of the event, an exchange of views took place among the participants, and prospects for implementing urban planning practices in line with the preservation of national architectural heritage and sustainable development goals were discussed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
