A scientific seminar titled \u201cArchaeological Heritage of the Region\u201d was held at the Gazakh branch of Baku State University.
\nOn December 24, 2025, a scientific seminar on the topic \u201cArchaeological Heritage of the Region\u201d was organized jointly by the Gazakh branch of Baku State University, the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS, and the \u201cKe\u015fik\u00e7ida\u011f\u201d State Historical and Cultural Reserve, which is administered by the State Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture. The main purpose of the seminar was to scientifically study, preserve, and properly present to the public the archaeological monuments of the region, including those located within the territory of the \u201cKe\u015fik\u00e7ida\u011f\u201d State Historical and Cultural Reserve. It should be noted that in recent years, extensive research and archaeological excavations have been carried out in the region, particularly within the territory of the \u201cKe\u015fik\u00e7ida\u011f\u201d Reserve, with the scientific support of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS. In addition to scholars and researchers, teachers and students of the Gazakh branch of Baku State University\u2014one of the region\u2019s reputable higher education institutions\u2014were involved in the archaeological excavations conducted in the Ke\u015fik\u00e7ida\u011f Kurgan Valley. Master classes were organized for students, which not only created an effective scientific platform for young researchers but also once again highlighted the importance of preserving the region\u2019s archaeological heritage and passing it on to future generations.
\nAt the scientific seminar, organized to further strengthen cooperation, issues related to the study of historical monuments of the region, the exploration of cultural heritage, and the application of scientific results were widely discussed. Speakers included the Director of the Gazakh branch of Baku State University, Associate Professor, PhD in Philosophy Arif Rustamov; Deputy Director for Academic and Scientific Affairs, Associate Professor Mammad Yusifov; Head of the Department for Student Affairs and Public Relations Gasim Aliyev; Leading Researcher of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS, PhD in History Shamil Najafov; Leading Researcher, archaeologist Lola Huseynova; institute staff member, anthropologist Ulker Allahverdiyeva; staff member of the Gazakh branch of Baku State University and Director of the \u201cAvey\u201d State Historical and Cultural Reserve, PhD in Pedagogy Saadat Aliyeva; senior lecturer of the branch, Honored Teacher Indira Samedova; and independent researcher Faiq Nasibov. The presentations provided detailed information about the archaeological monuments of the region, especially those located within the Ke\u015fik\u00e7ida\u011f cave complex, the scientific research and archaeological excavations carried out there, and the significant scientific results obtained. The scientific and social importance of preserving this heritage was particularly emphasized.<\/p>\n
