\nThe lidded jar discovered in Sar\u0131yoxu\u015f D\u0259r\u0259si Kurgan No. 2 is considered a significant find in Azerbaijani archaeology. This ceramic artifact is made of clay, medium-sized, with a rounded body and a wide mouth. Unlike other pottery vessels, this particular jar was placed beside the tribal chief.
\nThe jar is black-polished and coated with a special pigment (glaze), suggesting a strong connection to the chief\u2019s religious beliefs and burial rituals. Lidded jars of this kind were traditionally used in ancient burial customs to store the deceased\u2019s personal belongings, food supplies, or other ritual objects. The discovery of such artifacts in the Keshikchidagh Kurgan Valley highlights the region\u2019s rich archaeological heritage and provides valuable insights into the burial traditions of ancient cultures.<\/p>\n
