The gray rabbit or common rabbit is a species of mammal from the rabbit family. The body length of the gray hare, which is very common in the fauna of the Keshikchidagh caves complex, is 57-68 cm, its weight is 4-6 kg, rarely it reaches 7 kg. In appearance, the gray rabbit is usually distinguished by longer ears and a long wedge-shaped tail of brown color. His eyes are reddish-brown in color. Their hind limbs are longer, and their paws are short and narrow. The reason for this is that the common rabbit is distributed in areas where there is not much snow cover. Summer plumage is yellowish-gray, brown, brown, yellowish-red or olive-brown. There are large rings around his eyes. The tips of the ears remain dark throughout the year. The winter coat is lighter than the summer coat; the tips of the ears and the front part of the back remain dark even in winter.
